Ok, I really really suck at consistancy I guess. Well, I have decided that I am going to just post two songs every time I log in. (This will take awhile. Just warnin' ya)

Ok, next topic.... A song that reminds you of a certain event

The year before my freshman year in high school, I went on a trip with a program called People to People. I joined a group of people from Utah and California on an epic adventure to France, Italy, and Greece. Our "tour guide" (she had a cooler official title than that, but I can't remember) had one CD that she played over and over again in the bus, and the one song that I remember that was on it was "Ain't No Mountain High Enough". Now every time I hear it, I'm instantly swept back to that trip.

The other topic for today is a song that you know all the words to.

Ok, I don't know why this is, but I have THE HARDEST time memorizing words to a song. It's very annoying. The only song that I can think of right now that I proudly know all the words to is "Fix You" by Coldplay. I could probably think of a better one if it wasn't 12:30 at night ha. Anyways, here it is.

Alrighty, today's song is something that reminds you of someone.

Well, I'll give you the song first and then I'll tell you the story.

All throughout my high school years, I helped teach little girls dance classes. I was known as "Miss Becky" by probably 40 little ballerinas by the time I graduated. It is a tradition in my dance program to do a "senior solo" in out annual spring performance the year that you are a senior. "Dream" was the song that I chose. However, I did something a little bit different than a solo. In the middle of the dance, I brought out 5 of the girls that I had been teaching that year. Now, when I hear this song, I instantly think of little spunky, spinning, running, hyper 7 year old girls. I miss those days so much.

I'm going to try to figure out how to put the video of my "solo" on here. So, stay tuned. =)

Today's song is one that makes you sad.

One of my favorite bands is Death Cab for Cutie. A lot of their songs, though, are very melancholy. Here are a couple I like.

Well shoot I'm already so bad at this "One song a day for a month" thing. Well, I better snap to it!

The next topic is Your least favorite song.

Another tough one. Yay.

Hmm, well I've gotten a lot of ridicule for this fact, but I do NOT like Bon Jovi. Not a bit. So I would have to say that anything by him is my least favorite. In fact, I'm not going to even post anything by him because I don't find it worth the trouble. Sorry all you Bon Jovi fans, no offence.

Ok so the next one is a song that makes you happy. A couple years ago my friend introduced me to the music of Chris Rice. Mr. Right... I mean Mr. Rice happens to have a song called Me and Becky, which of course make me very happy. The song is so cheesy, but hey it makes me smile, and that's what matters, right?

And I'll just post another one of his songs just for the sake of happiness...

Now aren't you just twice as happy? =)

Blink 182 - I Miss you

Well I have decided to follow in my good friend Jade's footsteps and do this 30 day thing during which I am supposed to post a different song every day based on a topic. It shall be fun. =)

The first "topic" is your favorite song. Oh. My. Goodness. Could there be a harder question? Ok, I'm not sure if I would call it my favorite right now, but the one song I will never, ever get tired of is I Miss You by Blink 182. I've probably listened to it 500 times in my life and, although yeah it is kind of a depressing song, it somehow always makes me feel happier.

Anyways, here it is. =)

Runners-up are:
Don't Stop Believing by Journey
Shades of Sky by Joe Brooks
Passenger Seat by Death Cab for Cutie
I'm In Love With You by Joy Williams
And many, many more...

Thanks Jade!! =)

Blink 182 - I Miss you

I have a problem. I trip over my words a lot. It's like my brain is going 3 times faster than my mouth, and so all of my sentences come out "So once upon a timeIwenttobjkaudsalbgfhdsj... yeah let me start over." And then other times, I can't think of the words I want to say, so I sit there looking like an idiot with everyone waiting for me to actually not make a fool out of myself. It's quite annoying and slightly embarrassing. Gahhh.

Ok venting is over.

Time for the celebration part of my story! Last final is tomorrow! And it's not even a final, it's just turning in the ridiculous UNIV 1000 workbook. Yay. =) My Biology final was today, which was BRUTAL. I felt like my arm was ripped off and someone was beating me with it. Ugh. But that's ok! You know why? Well other than the fact that I'm DONE, I just found out that I got 100% on the essay I had to write for the class. It made the smacks from the imaginary arm hurt just a little less.

I am going snowboarding on Saturday. Three words: UTTER FREAKING EXCITEMENT. And then a month of liberation, my friends! Love.

I will miss 5 of the best roommates in the entire world. Somehow, my family seems just a bit less exciting compared to my fam of C103.

Merry Christmas, friends.
